Lower Loveday release new track ‘I’d Do Anything’

Whoever stated “love is the best medicine,” clearly hasn’t met the person that said “heartbreak makes for the best music.” We all love love, right? But what we love more is music about love, or the loss of, for that matter.

Typically inspired by the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Blondie and The 1975, Worcestershire based Lower Loveday have always managed to redefine the phrase “indie pop,’ and oh how we’ve missed hearing from them. The energy-filled ‘Chains’ was put out last summer and after that, despite constantly working on things, the boys went under the radar.

Now it’s May, we’re in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, and the boys have come back to say hello, finally kicking their 2020 into action. Amongst Mark’s comedic hair dying antics, they’ve been preparing for the release of their new single, ‘I’d Do Anything,’ Driven by punchy basslines, power packed pop choruses, and, of course, heartbreak, this band have an impressive sound that is destined to resonate with a wide audience.

This latest release reflects on a painful breakup, combining high energy synths and a relentless beat to convey heartfelt emotions. It might make you question your previous relationships, and dwell on the “what ifs?,” but you can always tell a track is a powerful one from the way it makes you feel. Moving steadily away from their usual inspirations, Lower Loveday have managed to create a new single that is entirely unique, yet embodies the “infectious indie pop” mantra they’re known for.

It’s catchy, it’s cool, and it gets you moving. What more could you possibly want from a quarantine anthem?
