Weekly Round-Up #1 ft. Safe to Swim, Campfire Social, Real Cool & The Wha
With us being sent so much music on a weekly basis it’s difficult to review them all! So we’ve created a little space where we can share a bunch of new music which we simply couldn’t fit in! Hope you Enjoy!
Safe to Swim – ‘Make Things Like They Used To Be’
Safe to Swim really caught our attention last year with their track ‘Friends’, but their newest track is even better. ‘Make Things Like They Used to Be’ has a real punk edge to it with some real pop tendencies, a direction I hope they stick to!
Campfire Social – ‘Ginnie and Margot’
Campfire Social are one of the favourites here at WFM after winning us over with their Wellbeing EP back in 2017. ‘Ginnie and Margot’ is a beautiful track featuring those great vocals I’ve come to adore.
Real Cool – ‘Be Quiet’
Birmingham based Real Cool released their first track of 2019 with ‘Be Quiet’ with similarities to current 1975 vibes. However they’re much sweeter, leaning towards more mainstream pop in some ways, ‘Be Quiet’ shows this off well.
The Wha – ‘Innocents’
The Wha have burst onto the scene with their debut track ‘Innocents’, giving off the feeling that they’ve been at it for ages. ‘Innocents’ has one of the catchiest hooks I’ve heard so far this year, similar to The Strokes in style and production.
